Solar Eclipse New Moon in Cancer.

Solar Eclipse New Moon in Cancer...situated in the mystical Ashlesha Nakshatra🐍🌑🐍. Ashlesha means “the entwiner” and has a desire to embrace or entangle the object upon which it is focused! The Naga(serpent) of wisdom, Ahi, is the residing deity representing the kundalini at the base of the spine. Mercury rules Ashlesha and the Moon rules Cancer which brings lots of mental activity. The serpent symbolizes divine wisdom, procreation, sexuality and prosperity and if this energy is not respected unexpected attacks can happen. The Shakti of this asterism is the power to inflict venom (visashleshana shakti) and to defeat enemies. I don’t know about you but most of the medicine I’ve received in my life has been in the form of venom and has transmuted into spriritual growth or a healing crisis.🙏🏼 So venom isn’t always a bad thing even though it can feel that way. The Moon is in its own house in Cancer and is conjoined the Sun, Mercury(retrograde) and Rahu. We are still dealing with the Mars (retrograde) Ketu transit in Capricorn and Saturn (retrograde) transit in Sagittarius. Lots of retrograde action around these eclipses which I’ve written about previously and depending on their location in your chart that’s where you have been feeling it! There is also a Kala Sarpa Yoga forming in the sky today. This is when all of the planets are hemmed in between the lunar nodes Rahu/Ketu and can cause feelings of isolation. This is also the energy of the serpent as Kala means time and Sarpa means serpent and people with this yoga have a very unique personality along with a specific mission. This could be a whole other post so I’ll just leave it at that☺️. Eclipses are a great time for spiritual practices as they get magnified and this one is occurring in the liminal time tomorrow morning (4:02-7:30am with the peak at 5:46am EST). The liminal time is an important time in Celtic and Druid spirituality as it marks that time when night becomes day and day becomes night. They say this is when the veil is the thinnest to the otherworld. So, a good time to take another deep dive into yourself and purge..a great day to fast! Om Sham Shanicharaya Namaha
