Longest Eclipse of the 21st Century

Om Srim Hrim Klim Glaum Gam Ganapataye Svaha 🙏🏼 So much going on this week🌪 I’m not sure what to write about first!🤯 Longest Eclipse of the 21st Century, Guru Purnima, Mars and Ketu (Retrograde) conjunct Moon and Mercury is also Retrograde in the deepest degree on Friday...called Gandata in Vedic astrology, meaning Karmic Knot! The moon joins Mars and Ketu in Capricorn where they have been stationed since early May and retro! Most of you have probably heard a lot about this transit over the last couple of months. And depending on which house they are transiting for you, that’s where you have felt it. Ketu(south node of the moon) is shadowy, confusing and strange and joined with a Mars retrograde who is volatile, aggressive, assertive and powerful can create lots of confusion, restlessness and anger. And combine this with a total lunar eclipse, which can bring things that have been hidden to the surface🌪💥🔥.

Those of you with Capricorn Ascendant or Moon will feel this more than others! It is however in the constellation of Sravana, called the “star of learning” and means to hear and can reflect the ability to hear the subtle etheric realms. Eclipses are considered inauspicious in Jyotish and it’s recommended to stay inside, especially pregnant women. It’s also recommended to fast during an eclipse believing that food prepared during this time is not fit for consumption (7/27/2018 3:30-5:13pmEST). This is however, a very auspicious time for meditation, contemplation and mantra, increasing its effects and with the energy of Sravana you may hear the answers you seek.🔮Laying low in general is a good idea considering most people tend to be on edge and acting strange!

And lastly, Mercury retrograde on eclipse day is Gandanta, which translates to a spiritual/Karmic knot signifying that something needs to be undone. This only occurs when a planet is transitioning from water to fire signs, so at the very last degree (you can see mercury at 29:13) or under one degree. A transition point is when something is transforming into something else! When mercury is in retrograde we experience difficulties with communication and this is a bit more intense.

Mercury is in the Nakshatra of Ashlesha which represents the kundalini that is located at the base of the spine and it entangled the object upon which it is focused. This spiritual energy of the serpent representing divine wisdom must be harnessed otherwise the lower expressions of Ashlesha take form, danger, attack, venom and trouble. Watch your tongue! All of this has kind of clouded my very favorite day of the year😆...Guru Purnima, my lunar birthday. I will post separately about that as I love its symbolism and it is close to my heart...and I’m outta room😆 What has been so amazing is that all of these planets have been visible recently stirring lots of excitement in my house
